چکیده

Al2O3 ceramics were successfully brazed under high vacuum conditions using the active Ni50Ti50 master alloy at 1320 °C with different holding time. The interfacial microstructure of joint was characterized SEM, EDS and TEM. effects time on evolution mechanical properties joints investigated. results revealed that typical structure Al2O3/Ni–Ti for 45 min Al2O3/AlNi2Ti + Ni2Ti4O/Ni2Ti4O/TiNi. Ni2Ti4O continuously distributed as a layer adjacent to substrate, whereas columnar AlNi2Ti phase existed in near side. With prolongation time, thickness increased obviously, became longer coarser. maximum shear strength 109 MPa obtained when min. hardness, Young's modulus elastic recovery phases across gradient property. reaction appropriate found beneficial enhancing Al2O3/Ni–Ti/Al2O3 strength.

On-line Detection of Imperfections in Laser-brazed Joints

This paper presents a joint imperfection detection method for on-line process monitoring of laser brazing processes. The method uses images from two spectral ranges and fuses their features with the scores of the separately calculated log-likelihood ratios to decide whether the currently generated part of a joint contains an imperfection or not. To avoid unconfident classifications, a decision ...

Robustly Engineering Thermal Conductivity of Bilayer Graphene by Interlayer Bonding

Graphene and its bilayer structure are the two-dimensional crystalline form of carbon, whose extraordinary electron mobility and other unique features hold great promise for nanoscale electronics and photonics. Their realistic applications in emerging nanoelectronics usually call for thermal transport manipulation in a controllable and precise manner. In this paper we systematically studied the...

Bonding and high-temperature reliability of NiFeMo alloy/n-type PbTe joints for thermoelectric module applications

PbTe is an extremely important thermoelectric (TE) material, due to its high TE conversion efficiency. Consequently, our effort focuses on developing PbTebased TE modules, which requires developing novel approaches for bonding metallic contacts to PbTe. In this study, Fe, Mo, and NiFeMo alloy foils were directly bonded to n-type PbTe using a rapid hot press at 600, 700, or 800 C under a pressur...

Effect of diffusion bonding temperature on microstructure properties of Zr/Ti interlayer in the diffusion bonded joints of Zr702 to A516 steel

In this study, the effect of temperature on the microstructure and reactive layer at the interface between the Ti interlayer and the base metal related to the diffusion bonding of Zr702 to A516 low alloy steel was investigated. The joining was done using the spark plasma sintering technique at temperatures of 900, 950 and 1000°C for 30 minutes. Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM...
